You will need to know the how of the Year 1 pack in order to do this Year 2 pack. The walkthrough and the pack assume that you have an understansing of the Curious Quests in Year 1.
The Curious Quests is an expansion for Greg's Drawing Club and now KS1 have their opportunity to immerse in an adventure into story, poetry, make-believe and giving children a childhood that brims with endless possibilities to invent, imagine and story dream.
The Curious Quests for Year 2 builds on the Year 1 content by introducing the joy of text types, showing children how instructions, recounts, newspaper articles and the like can be wrapped up in meaningful purpose so that they want to write not have to write.
Year 1 tipped children into an extraordinary Imagined World and the quests that they undertook then have now opened doors to the next leg of their journey in Year 2 - what awaits them is a make-believe landscape of danger, intrigue and the unknown that will give you abundant opportunities to inspire and motivate children.
And just like the Year 1 pack, this is not a scheme. The Curious Quests doesn't tell you what to teach or when, there are no set texts and there's no 'children have to write like this'. Instead it has faith in you as a teacher and is rooted in Greg's belief that we need the resurgence of creative teaching from the soul.

The Curious Quests are based around short moments of Time Together as a whole class and then mini moments with small groups while other children enter a world of invention and creativity through 'continuous provision' (this can be popped up) - you need to make a commitment to this to undergo The Curious Quests in Year 2.
Every drop of The Curious Quests wants to give children the chance to feel the alchemy of writing, imagination, chat and, above all, that of being seen as a unique child with limitless possibilities.
