FOOTNOTE:
I am a great believer that early formal phonics teaching to all children is a 'false narrative' and it would be better to give children more space to be and breathe before being expected to read and write. Happy Talk is therefore more of a way to discover joy within the set expectations of the education system rather than condoning early phonics teaching.
If we have to do it, then let's try to find the joy within it somewhere...
